The Night

Missouri school for the blind students made 8 tiles that were hidden in the night section inviting us to touch, and teaching us about perception. This is the only section that has text in the form of braille. This was an idea motivated by a quote from Helen Keller,  “ It is the soul that sees”. A woman that illuminated the world for others even though she was trapped in the world of darkness. She over came with great courage and then became a leader. She was set free with the world of words and became a successful author. She learned how to speak and understood music by sensing vibrations. The light of love is the gift Anne Sullivan gave to  Helen. Her message to the world was “See with your heart.” the night section is dedicated to her as we can see life even in the darkness of night.
